Work is advancing slowly but surely, the games artificial intelligence has new movement capabilities, it mainly follows you around and keeps shooting.

Currently the highscore system uses  streams that writes and reads from a .txt file, in the future it will be linked to a database.

Main plan for this game is to make it online.


Latest game demo:

A first state of a menu, in which you can choose your WW2 faction (allies,German or soviet). I chose for the allied tank the Sherman because it was the most important tank on the allied side, I made it faster,more maneuverable and with a bigger fire rate but lower HP and lower damage..
It is intended to make the game more balanced,future models for all factions will be drawn but what I want to advance is the game AI ,which hadn't seen much development

A birds eye view offers a lot of ways you can give the impression of professional graphics, actually what all of this is are pictures cut and modified from the web, give a little credit to me though(it was pretty hard on modifying them).
A life bar and a get ready system is also in place at this time.Ignore the text from the top left it will be deleted.

A first state of an  artificial intelligence was developed for this game.What the AI does exactly at the moment is turn the turret to where the player goes, nothing special and not very capable.
The difference between the 2 tanks that are created at this moment is on speed , HP and caliber(tiger more HP and bigger caliber,t34 more speed).
Game of course will be concentrated on the World War 2 conflict.



Work on this project will be halted for a while.

I've been scarcely working on this project , time is what I do not posses at the moment. A live demo exists on youtube , here is a link to it.
For a more detailed description of how this was done, I can only say I used some trigonometry to make  rotations and movements, if you're not into radians and such it will be a bit of a problem.

Those greener things should be trees or bushes , there is no colliding method between them and the tank , though there is a colliding method between missiles and trees.

Trees generate randomly on the map on game load and so does the tank.
